If you would like to meet other Austen enthusiasts in Tucson and Southern Arizona area, the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) is for you.
JASNA members are readers of all ages and backgrounds who admire Austen's novels and come together to discuss her life and work, attend special programs, and enjoy the good company of fellow Janeites. Most of our 4,000+ members participate in the local activities of one or more of our 68 regional groups across North America.
The Southern Arizona Region of JASNA meets throughout the year to share many pleasures: discussing Austen's novels: toasting her on her birthday; listening to lectures, panels, and performances illuminating her writing, life, and era; and much more.
We welcome new members, whether you are reading your first Austen novel or have re-read her books many times. You don't need to be an Austen expert to feel at home in JASNA, though you may become one as you attend our meetings!
