The Tempest III « dpsandy10

In some ways the Tempest is very much like Shakespeare's other plays, but it also seems different to me. There are people trying to over throw each other for power and people falling in love on the spot, but there is not normally as much open magic in his plays, and the fact that this play is all set on one island gives it a different feel as well. Why would they eat this food that is randomly danced in my these dark figures that then run away? I find it interesting to see the change in Stephano as soon as he gets some power over Caliban. He starts to act very differently and is suddenly very protective of his new servant. What do the notes mean when it says that Prospero is up top. They are on an island so he isn't on the second floor or anything is he just in a tree or something?
