Sako – The First Breeze Of Spring « astrangelyisolatedplace

Sako returns with the third mix to be featured on ASIP, taking inspiration from the changing seasons and featuring gentle piano tracks to brighten the already beaming European skies.

Sako may be entering Winter in his native Australia, but this mix is a homage to a past spring which we can now all enjoy. The usual piano tinkerers are included; Newman, Frahm, Helios, Arnalds and Irisarri, but Sako keeps the mix interesting with several more electronic tracks, helping you balance neatly on the verge of a sun inducing coma.

"I'm hardly ever stimulated by the change of seasons. Yet one day while taking a walk in a nearby park, I could not help but notice a brilliant and curiously nostalgic breeze that seemed to flood me with memories and joy. Like a light switch turned on, I was awakened to the exuberant life all around me. Everything seemed to be vibrant and alive, It was spring time indeed. I had a yearning for delicate piano tunes, to capture this moment and the idea of this mix came to me; a mating of piano tunes with electronic music. This mix have served me well as a loyal companion throughout my spring adventures, Hope you enjoy it as much as I did."

If you like what you hear, try Sako's previous mixes, 'Last Days' and 'Lament For Plastic Reflections'.
